The Rearview Mirror – January 2023

Happy New Year!

This may be one day of the year where we all start from day 1 and to wish someone a “Happy New Year” is just a simple expression of the hope of what things to come may bring.

On my walk today, everyone I walked by joined in on this greeting. We all smiled, even though some may have been tired from the night before or tangled up in holidays lights they were taking down. It was interesting that on other days of celebration in a year, we sometimes have to wonder if we are saying the right thing; asking ourselves if that person celebrates that holiday or are we offending by chance.

Today is a new beginning and so refreshing in the way we think of it. My best to you this year!
